Last week I went to a MAC store and attended the Style Warriors Event which was by invitation only. They had yummy canapes, wonderful green tea and mint mojitos and of course new makeup for us to oogle over. I promised myself I wasn't going to go nuts and buy everything in site just because it was available to me. I bought the colors that I myself will use and that I think my brides are going to love and also what I would use for photo shoots. They had bronzers and shadows and liquid face highlighter and so on. Sometimes ladies the permanent colors are just repackaged so I made sure that I bought some different things. The most impressive and eye catching items for me were the Lustre Drops. The minute I saw them in preview pictures and I was itching to get my hands on those. I'm going to have fun with them this summer.
This is what I got:
The lipsticks: Brave New Bronze (satin) to the left of pic & Sunsational (lustre) to the right
Blush: On A Mission Beauty Powder Blush (mauve/pink color) I'm sure I have a dupe of this color.
Eyeshadows: Soft Force (veluxe pearl) to the left & Bright Future (veluxe pearl) to the right
Lustre Drops: Pink Rebel to the left & Sun Rush to the right.

Great post! The only thing I want so far is Brave New Bronze. We'll see though. Once I see a collection in person I get all caught up in the excitement and getting more than I need. I am trying to save my $$ for the end of the month when NARs has a summer event at Holt's - always a fun event.

@dressjunkie.com, The lustre drops are the reason i went to the event in the first place. You can mix it with foundation or strobe cream or strobe liquid or by itself or even Fix+. Very versatile. xxNadia

Hey - yes, NARs is having their spring event starting the 29th. I always go. Bad for my wallet. There's a fantastic MA at the Bloor Store named Sarah. She's absolutely amazing.

Nadia- great purchases. I am deciding about Brave New Bronze right now. I am worried it might be too peachy!
@Belle Du Jour, I'm not sure if I regret buying this or not, only time will tell. It is more on the peachy brown side rather than the pinky brown. It kind of reminds me of Mac's Fresh Brew lipstick but only in a Satin. I got this because its nice on really fair tones for a nude look. Definitely try this color on your lips, not your hands, its deceiving. xxNadia
Hi there - yes at the event, they do have gifts (but I think you have to buy something). Last time, I got three mini lipglosses and a NARs notebook. I've been to three of their events and have loved what they did to my face :-) On occasion I also get invited to their Master classes but I've never been able to go just due to scheduling. Someday!

great haul! that is coincidentally, a lot of what i am going to buy from the collection as well, we must have the similar (excellent) taste!

what a great haul! i want the lustre drops too but need to save my pennies for disney world in 2 weeks! eeek! they are calling my name and it's just so tempting :)
@KiLLaCam, Disney World will provide a lifetime of memories, the lustre drop maybe a month's worth of pleasure. Its logical, but I know that feeling when you just want something and you don't care if you are not suppose to be buying anything.lol Have fun at Disney. xxNadia

Maybe its being released on different dates depending on the state although North America usually has launches all on the same date. Hmm! Hope you get it very soon. xxNadia
